International Expansion of U.S. Luxury Department Store

● Performed local market feasibility studies for the establishment of a U.S. luxury department store through local partners in various markets around the world

● Traveled to each location to assess the local market and view the proposed sites

● Assessed the local demographics and retail climate of each market by evaluating existing retail concepts, shopping malls and any other multi-brand retailers

● Evaluated the real estate opportunities within each market and assessed the pros and cons of the proposed locations

● Assessed the key luxury brand presence within each local market

● Worked with the department store to identify those brands whose participation would be deemed necessary in order for the store to proceed with each project

● Met with select executives on the department store’s required brand matrix to present the projects, understand the brand’s current distribution strategy in each region, and gauge their interest in participating should the store decide to proceed

● Prepared a report for store management and the potential third-party partners on the viability of establishing a successful U.S. luxury department store in the proposed markets, containing findings such as existing market competition and other potential barriers to entry, current brand distribution in each region, key brand meeting feedback and interest in the potential projects
